Windows 8.1 returns START button.

The latest version of Microsoft‘s operating system, Windows 8.1, was released on Thursday, October 17, 2013.
Windows 8.1 according to Microsoft is the new Windows. The Redmond-based company’s official website explained that “Windows 8.1 was designed to power an exciting and affordable new generation of PCs. Find the one that’s right for you.”
But what is new with Windows 8.1? The changes however may not be that much.
Below is a list of key features of the new Windows 8.1.
- START button brings back all the functionality of the Windows 7 Start button.
- Expanded snap view enables the user to run up to eight apps side by side in Windows 8.1.
- Improved Apps that include Skype and SkyDrive.
- Personal lock screen. It displays a slide show of favorite photos. Allow users to answer Skype callsĀ and take photos without the need to unlock the PC.
- Picture password. Allow users to unlock the PC by drawing shapes on a picture.
