PAGASA Weather Forecast: Bagyong Paeng Enters PAR, November 1 2014

The latest Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) public weather forecast indicate that Bagyong Paeng (International codename: NURI) may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by November 1, 2014. According to PAGASA, Tropical Storm Paeng was spotted at 1,255 km East of Visayas. It was moving West Northwest at 15 kph with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. October 31 2014 Not Holiday But Half Day For Public Offices

Are you expecting October 31, 2014 to be a holiday? No it’s not, according to a Malacañang announcement on Thursday, October 30. Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa said that October 31 will not be a holiday but a half-day work for all government offices nationwide. NU Bulldogs wins UAAP Championship vs. FEU Tamaraws

The National University (NU) Bulldogs won the Season 77 University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) men’s basketball championship over the Far Eastern University Tamara’s, 75-59, on Wednesday, at the Araneta Coliseum. It was NU’s first UAAP men’s basketball crown in 60 years since 1954. Defence carried the Bulldogs to victory versus the offense of the Tamaraws. Hans Sy of SM Group of Companies was among the thousands of fans who witnessed the record breaking championship game. Earthquake in the Philippines today, October 7, 2014

A magnitude quake shook the southern Philippines at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, October 7, 2014. The earthquake was felt in the area of Batangas City after a rush of rain poured for several minutes. Heavy rains stranded students and employees at the start of rush hour.
