Sikorsky helicopters will soon be manufactured in Turkey. This was made possible after the Turkish government agreed to a 30-year deal worth $3.5 billion with the United Technologies Corp’s Sikorsky Aircraft unit.
Turkish version of Sikorsky helicopters will be assembled by the Turkish Aerospace Industries. Components of the Sikorsky helicopters will be provided by Sikorsky, Aselsan and other Turkish companies.
