Satya Nadella is a unanimous choice to become the latest CEO of Microsoft, according to several international reports. The soon-to-be appointed Microsoft CEO is expected to lead the Richmond-based company in developing innovative technology.

The 46-year-old Satya Nadella would only be the third Microsoft CEO, after Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. Satya Nadella, an Indian national, will also be the first non-American to take the helm of the software giant.

Satya Nadella is a unanimous choice to become the latest CEO of Microsoft.

A native of Hyderabad, India, Nadella is Microsoft’s current executive vice president of its Cloud and Enterprise group. He led the Microsoft “Cloud OS” project that aims to move software and storage from on-site computers to the Internet.

Satya Nadella has a long list of credentials that made him a shoo-in for the top Microsoft job. The Indian Executive holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Mangalore University. He earned his master’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
