Paul George will play his first game of the 2015 NBA season on Sunday, April 5 at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN. George will be suiting up for the Indiana Pacers when they play against the Miami Heat.
The two-time All-Star initially hinted his return to the basketball court when he twitted the shoes that he will be using during the Pacers vs. Heat game. George posted on Twitter: “Game shoes! Time to get some burn Sunday night!!! Can’t wait!!!”
In an official statement, the Indiana Pacers confirmed that George will be making his return. Pacers President of Basketball Operations, Larry Bird announced that:
“We’re happy to have Paul back in uniform, and this is just another step in his rehabilitation from the injury. He has worked hard to get to this point and still has work to do, but it’s a positive step toward what we hope will be a full recovery at some point. His minutes will be limited in games he plays as we evaluate his progress moving forward.”
