Two new iPhone models were introduced by Apple during an event at the Flint Center in Cupertino, California on Tuesday, September 9, 2014.

Apple CEO Tim Cook unveiled bigger display smartphones, a 4.7 inch iPhone 6 and 5.5 inch iPhone 6 Plus.

iPhone 6 has a resolution of 1334 by 750 with 326 pixels per inch over a 720p Retina HD display.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 6 Plus features a resolution of 1920 by 1080 with 401 pixels per inch that is a full 1080p HD resolution.

The iPhone 6 display has over one million pixels while an iPhone 6 Plus has over two million pixels.

These two new iPhones are the thinnest smartphones Apple has ever made. iPhone 6 is merely 6.9 mm with iPhone 6 Plus at 7.1 mm.

Both models runs on a new fast A8 chip with 64-bit architecture. The new iPhones also has NFC to cater contactless payment with the finger sensor as added security.

Price of the iPhone 6 starts at $199. iPhone 6 Plus is being offered for $299. Both models are now available in 128 GB variant.
