Apple introduced iOS 8 during the 2014 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco last June 2. The Cupertino-based tech company said that iOS 8 will be released to iPhone, iPod and iPad users starting this fall but with no exact date yet.
Several features of iOS 8 was revealed during the 2014 WWDC Keynote that was spearheaded by Apple CEO Tim Cook. According to the Cupertino-based company, its latest mobile operating system focused on details, innovations and complete experience.
Below are some of the important features of iOS 8.
- Photos will now be stored in iCloud Photo Library and will be made available in all iOS and OS X devices. It also provides a powerful editing capability.
- Messages now caters voice and video during your conversation with friends.
- Smart keyboard provides easier typing with contextual word suggestions to complete sentences.
- Family Sharing lets you share all your App Store purchases to up to six people. Photos, family calendar, locations, among others can also be shared easily.
- iCloud Drive now lets you work on files such as presentations, PDFs, images using any device that include Mac or PC.
- Health is a latest Apple app that features health and ?tness information.
Apple iOS 8 is compatible for download on iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPod touch 5th generation, iPad 2, iPad 3rd generation, iPad 4th generation, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with, Retina display.
