A giant jellyfish discovered near a beach in Tasmania by the family of a certain Josie Lim is now being studied by Australian scientists.

The giant jellyfish was reportedly found by Josie Lim last month.

Reports say that the giant jellyfish is measured at 1.5 meters or about 5 feet
A family found the 1.5m (5ft) jellyfish on a beach south of Hobart last month.

The Australian scientists are trying to classify the latest giant jellyfish.

According to Dr Lisa-ann Gershwin, of Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) government agency, the giant jellyfish is a “truly magnificent animal.”

Initial report by the group indicated that the species was part of the Lion’s Mane group.

Gershwin explained that the giant jellyfish is one “species I’ve known about for a while but it’s not yet named and classified.”

The findings of CSIRO will be posted on this site once they finished classifying the giant jellyfish.
