Reports say that Malang is a Crocodylus mindorensis (Philippine freshwater crocodile), measuring about one third the size of the more popular saltwater crocodile named Lolong. Malang reportedly measures about 2.18 meters long. Ali Hadji Nasser, Central Mindanao Chief of the Protected Areas and Wildlife Division (PAWD) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources declared that Malang is the largest living freshwater crocodile in captivity. The latest sinkhole in the Florida state is the second to open up within a month. Officials say that the Florida sinkhole is measuring about 25-foot-long and 50-foot-deep. Ilias is from the endangered wild Bactrian or Camelus bactrianus ferus species. The rare baby camel was born last April 9 by Iris, an eight-year-old camel.
