A 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit California on Sunday night, March 9, 2014. The The quake’s epicenter was located at 50 miles west and four miles deep of Eureka, California.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries or damage to properties. The U.S. Geological Survey said that the 6.9-magnitude quake struck at 10:18 p.m. PDT Sunday . Several aftershocks measuring up to 4.6-magnitude were also felt.
