Suspension of Classes Due to Typhoon Glenda – July 15, 2014

Typhoon Glenda is expected to hit Metro Manila, according to the latest weather forecast issued by PAGASA. In anticipation of the storm landfall, authorities declared suspension of classes for Tuesday, July 15, 2014.

PAGASA raised storm signals in several areas due to Tropical Storm Glenda (international name: Rammasun). The areas with storm signal include:

  • Signal #1:
    • Metro Manila, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, southern Aurora, northern Quezon including Polilio Island, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Lubang Island, Eastern Samar, Samar, Biliran
  • Signal #2:
    • Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Masbate including Burias Island & Ticao Island, Albay, Sorsogon, Marinduque, southern Quezon, Northern Samar
  • Signal #3:
    • Catanduanes

As of posting, class suspensions on public  and private schools were declared in the following areas:

  • All levels
    •  Camarines Sur
    • Pateros
    • San Juan
  • Preschool-high school
    • Cavite
    • Caloocan
    • Laguna
    • Makati
    • Malabon
    • Manila
    • Mandaluyong
    • Muntinlupa
    • Navotas
    • Parañaque
    • Pasay
    • Pasig
    • Quezon City
  • Preschool
    • Valenzuela
