Bagyong Ruby made its first of five anticipated landfall in Dolores, Eastern Samar around 9:15 p.m. last night. Typhoon Ruby is expected to make its second landfall on Sunday, December 7, 2014 according to the latest PAGASA weather update.

PAGASA weather forecast indicate that Bagyong Ruby slightly weakened with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 190 kph. Bagyong Ruby also slowed down from 16 kph to 15 kph as it moves west northwest.

Typhoon Ruby was last spotted at 70 km West Northwest of Catbalogan, Samar or 85 km Southeast of Masbate City .

The NDRRMC explained that there was great damage to infrastructure because Bagyong Ruby spent some time along Eastern Samar’s coastal area.

According to PAGASA, Bagyong Ruby is expected to exit PAR on the night of Tuesday, December 9 or in the early morning of Wednesday, December 10.
